Positions

Steve Hatherley

I've always been a bit frustrated by Personalities. They're the weakest groups - but they have more flavour and, well, Personality than most. So here's an idea to make them a bit more tempting - a way of giving them another ability.

(This is also solves the slight issue of Bill Clinton no longer being President of the USA - so probably shouldn't have those ridiculous bonuses any more.)

Positions

Positions may only be played Personalities and must be permanently linked to that Personality. Playing a Position is an action for any group. That Personality assumes that position and gains the additional benefits.

There may be only one copy of a particular Position in play. If another copy is played by any player, the first copy is discarded.

Most positions have requirements, which are stated in parenthesis. They can only be played on Personalities that meet those requirements. (So British Prime Minister can only be played on a British Government Personality.)

If the Personality loses the required alignment the link remains but the Position has no effect until that Personality regains the alignment. A Personality may only have one Position at any one time. If another Position is played on that Personality, the first Position is discarded.

Nationality: An “American” or “British” group is group of that nationality. (See the Dual Citizenship card below.)

More cards

These cards may also be helpful, particularly Dual Citizenship. (I'm sure I'm not the first one to come up with the Cult of Personality goal.)

Dual Citizenship: Play on any Personality. That Personality gains the Nationality of the Nation of your choice.
Cult of Personality (Goal): Each Personality you control counts as two groups towards the basic goal.
